At the PEP-C GENERAL MEETING…
Please join us on January 10, 2024 at the PEP-C general meeting for a talk by Marvin Nauman about Citizens Corp. and Rachel Adler about CERT. Marvin will explain what Citizens Corp is, well as how participants may become a part of this emergency service organization. Rachel will discuss Community Emergency Response Training. Marvin Nauman, a Professional Photographer by trade with a BA Degree has numerous awards and accommodations for his work including over 70,000+ photographs published worldwide, Hurricane Katrina lead Photographer for FEMA shooting over 19,000 images from disasters to Presidents & Kings, Yosemite National Park photographer, Special guest Photographer on “Batman” & “MacArthur” Movie’s, consultant for Boeing, consultant & inventor for Ries Tripod. Owner; High Sierra Productions, doing special projects, Transfers, Photography workshops & tours. Pierce County Emergency Management 2016 Outstanding Adult Award, as well as other special awards from Washington State Emergency Management and Federal Emergency Management Agency.

CCC-PC Mission
As Pierce County Citizen Corps Council Charman, we provide a strategic space for citizens to engage and support their community. Through education, training, and volunteer opportunities, individuals can combine their skills to strengthen communities as they build safety awareness, preparedness plans, and networks that assist with disaster recovery. We fully support Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT) are made up of local Pierce County members of all ages, geographical locations, and economic levels. The only requirement to receive Basic CERT training is a desire to participate and respond to disasters in their local areas and assist professional emergency response agencies, (police, fire, EMT’s, etc.) in their areas.
